Hi Friends

Great to know that you are reading my Blog. Had a great time meeting 2 old high school friends whom I have not seen for the past 20 years at Orchard Central. At the same time, coincidentally witnessed an opening of a shop which sells premium chocolate and they have invited a popular Taiwanese Singer called "Tao Zhe" as an ambassador which was located just adjacent to where we were sitting (Coffee Bean). Also bought a box of premium chocolate cookies for my friend's son. My friend was so happy that when he got back home, his 3-year old son called me over my mobile and said 'Uncle Kheng Mong. Thank you!'. Wow! That's really a good value that my friend has passed to his son. Parents are always doing their very best for their children.

When I finally settled down and read my emails, I will always received emails from my current or past trainees sharing with me their challenges. I am happy that they shared which means that they trusted me to help them. There was one of this trainee who was concerned that his mum wants him to be like his mum, but he doesn't want to live life like his mum. As usual, I answered his questions with more questions because he already have the answers. You just need to help him ask the right questions. At the same time, I send him a link to a song sang by Connie Talbot called "You raise me up" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RymC-Uu6qo).

It's difficult to appreciate what our parents do until we become parents ouselves. Many years ago, when my mum was suffering from terminal stage lung cancer (my dad has already passed away), at the same time, we were also involved in a lawsuit over the ownership of the house that I have been staying for years. There was this one day where I sat down beside my sickly mum who was weeping, and I told her to wait for me to graduate from university, so that I could buy a small HDB flat, even it's just a 1-room flat, such that we can stay happily together and be away from all these troubles. That day did not come. She witnessed my convocation but I never got a chance to fulfil my promise as she passed away shortly. I still dreamt that one day, she will come back such that I can fulfil my promise to her knowing that that day will never come.

Ask yourself this question, 'how will you want to treat your parents such that if one day, they are no longer around, you will feel that you have fulfilled your role as their children?'

Now, I am a proud father of a 21-month old girl who is sleeping soundly in her bedroom right now. If my mum were to be around, she would be proud of me too.

BEAUTIFUL MONDAY (NLP SINGAPORE)

Hi Friends

It's Monday and it has been a cloudy and rainy week. Having said that nothing is more sunny than what you have in your mind - your positive thoughts.

Watch how empowering beliefs can help a child: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1197420/4273255?v=1197420. This video widens my map on what can my 21-month-old little girl do.

Have a great week ahead.

YOU CAN BE ANYTHING THAT YOU WANT (NLP SINGAPORE)

Hi Friends

When we were young, we believed that we can do anything we want ranging from wanting to be a scientist, a doctor, a lawyer, a businessman, etc. But somehow somewhere down the line, most people stopped believing in their dreams. You do have a dream, don’t you? Let me share with you one inspiring movie trailer... called “An Astronaut Farmer” to start your week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=390WaPcxnFI. When I was young, my father who was a fishmonger told us to study hard, get a job and work hard so that we could get high pay. I did…….until one day when I realised that why I do I have to make other people’s dreams come true when I can make mine. That’s when I quitted my job and do what I love to do – to run my own company. To keep yourself motivated in what you are doing now, you will need to know why are you doing what you are doing today? For whom and for what. When you have found the answers, carry these answers with you and these will be one resource to keep you motivated.
