Hi Friends
As the year is coming to an end in less than an hours time, it marks the beginning of a brand New Year, a brand New Start for anything that you want to do.
Look back and recount the successes that you have achieved. These successes will be a reminder of your great effort, your unlimited potential and the Inner You that made all these things possible.
If you have any inspiring resources to share, please feel free to post in my "I Want to Be Inspired - Roadmap to Success Group" and inspire others. No success is too small or too big to be mentioned as long as it comes from your heart.
Last but not least, I would like to wish you a .......
Year Where All Your Dreams Will Come True!

NOBODY TO SOMEBODY
Hi Friends
The clock is ticking ..... in a few days time. Year 2009 will be a thing of the past. We will grow older by 1 year, the Earth would have completed 1 round of revolution around the Sun, the IR would be nearer to completion, and the list goes on....If you have read the Life Section of Straits Time today, you wo...uld have came across a young man (age:32) by the name of Eldwin Chua who has came far from a nobody 'zi char' cook to Paradise Group CEO which has 8 Chinese restaurants.I have friends who own restaurant but closed one after another. Some left with only one. Others closed all of them mainly because of the high rental. The interesting point is that Eldwin opened one restaurant at ION Orchard. You just need to speculate the rental/month that he needs to invest. So what makes him so successful? A few behavioural traits that are commonly found in all successful individuals:
1) 200% Focus on his Business - he eat, sleep & breathes restaurant
2) He slog - there is no replacement for hardwork. If you want to get-rich-quick, watch "Money Not Enough I & II"
3) He has a product that many Singaporeans crave - Creamy Butter Crab, an alternative to Chilly Crab
4) Constant innovation to differentiate his product - he hired a talented Head Chef from Pine Court Chinese Restaurant to create unique dishes
5) Empowering Beliefs - his dream was to bring his company to be publicly listed in 3 years. In 3 years time, he would only be 35.
What do you believe in? ......... the clock continues to tick ..... and I would like to wish all of you ......
A CLEAR, FOCUS AND RESULT-PRODUCING 2010!!

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE
Hi Friends
Today is the beginning of another fantastic week where each one of you is working towards your goals and dreams, not to mention, Christmas which is round the corner.
I would like to share with you a movie clip of one of my favourite movies, starring Jodie Foster, by the name of "Contact" to help you begin your week.
In a nutshell, Contact is the story of a radio astronomer (Jodie Foster) who has been fascinated with the Universe since she was a little girl. She then spent her entire life searching for intelligent life forms.......until one day, she discovers an intelligent signal broadcast from deep space where she was able to decrpyt the radio signals. After decryption, the radio signals were meant to ..............
As a child, do you have a dream where you always wanted something but you were to young to achieve this dream? I have always wanted a huge telescope where I can place in somewhere so dark that I could look up to the dark starry sky and watch the universe whole night long. Well, I could afford one now.
If you have a dream and you have always wanted to achieve it since you are little child, watch this movie. In the meanwhile, this movie clip is for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmSYXbgcozY&feature=related
Have a great week ahead and an early Merry Christmas!
Join me in my next workshop on 29th Dec at http://www.nlpinsingapore.com/free-nlp-preview-workshop.
See you!

HOW HUNGRY ARE YOU IN GETTING THE THINGS THAT YOU WANT?
Hi Friends
Whenever I run my workshops, most of them would kindly shared that their current top concern is money, career or business. Some would specifically said that they want to be financially free. I would then followed up with another question: "Are you able to able to increase your income by $200 per month for the next 12 months?". Majority of them would have doubts saying that they would have problems and so on and so on........ Why would so many of them still struggle with a challenge of just increasing their income by $200 per month when some of them are even Diploma holders and Degree Holders? One key reason: they ask the wrong question. Whenever they are given a challenge, the question that pops up first is "Can or Cannot?" or "Why cannot?". So what happen next? There is a 50% chance that they will find reasons to say why they can't do it or even more. Worse still, they would spend most of their time finding reasons why it can't be done.
One way to help them to get the amount that they way is simply to ask the question "How?". I repeat, simply ask "How?" and nothing else.
Let me share some simple things one can do just to make that extra $200:
1) My part-time helper will come to my house to do cleaning every Sunday. For every hour, she makes $10. She works 5 hours and that will give her $50. She comes 4 times a week and she makes $200/month
2) Give tuition. This is particularly useful for people who are Diploma or Degree Holders. 1 student will easily fetch you more than $200
3) Do some work with higher value ranging from selling toys to insurance to houses, etc. Anything can be sold.
4) The list to generate $200/month goes on and on .........
As such, the problem does not lie with the lack of ideas. The problem lies with the fact that person is NOT hungry enough. When you are at the verge of hunger, you will do anything....do anything to fill that hunger.
Let me share with you a video that was shared by one of our Coaches. Watch it, give it some thought and ask yourself this question: "How hungry are you in getting the things that you want!" I frequently asked myself this question to drive me.
Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y28VE032F40&feature=related

SUCCESSES FROM OUR GRADUATES
Hi Friends
Recently, we had a Christmas Party at George's house from Swish 10 and Master Swish 01 a few days back with some graduates bringing their children and spouse along. It's really a good start for all of us to gather and I am looking forward towards another one organise by our graduates. Friendship is something money can't buy and I am glad to be in this journey with all of them.
Let me share with you the successes that some of the graduates have achieved (based on my knowledge):
1) Caleb (Master Swish 01) - found his emotion again and regain confidence in building relationship with people. In addition, he is attached now. Wow!
2) Danny (Master Swish 01) - taken giant steps, phobia replaced by confidence and he opened new markets in Bangkok and KL
3) Endang (Master Swish 01) - her 1st training in Jakarta has been confirmed in Jan 2010. I will be joining her in Jakarta. Looking forward.
4) Joshua (Master Swish 01) - continued his Toastmasters journey and taken various steps moving towards being a CIO (Chief Information Officer)
5) Serene (Master Swish 01) - left her job and brought forward her 10-year goal to now
6) Cassandra (Swish 10) - 1st graduate in the class to quit her job and reached her goal to become an Executive Secretary
7) Keith (Swish 10) - gained 4 kg. More muscular looking now.
8) Sean (Swish 10) - became my business partner and both of us founded Value Investing Academy. One of my goal is to create a programme that can create multiple sources of income and I am glad we are movinbg forward
9) Michael (Swish 09) - achieved his goal recently by completing his 21km run in Standard Chartered Marathon
I am already looking forward towards year 2010 as it will be another exciting year. It does not matter whether what the outside world is. It only matters what your inner world is.
This afternoon, I went to this place at Macpherson Road called FightWorks Asia aiming to train up my physique in a fun way. While I walked out of their office, I saw a black & white painting of Bruce Lee and a quote beside him that states “Knowing is not enough, you must apply; willing is not enough, you must do.” A quote for you!
Cheers!

INSPIRATION AROUND US
Hi Friends
I have just completed another of my "Secrets of Creating the Results that You Want" Workshop on 4/12/09. The energy was high in the room and it ended with a high note. What inspire was a young participant who came was hearing impaired. In other words, he hears with a hearing aid and will have problem listening to me. However, he was lip-reading throughout the whole session and that was what has inspired me. That is called 'Determination'.
Cheers!

Extraordinary people - Synaesthetes
Hi Friends
Did you have a Miraculous Monday today?
Just to share with you a story of an extraordinary woman with a gift that many thought that she was crazy or "seeing" things. She did, she does "see things". I know you must thinking about ghosts or some spooky stuffs. No, no that. She sees sound. Oh! She must be crazy. ...How can she possibly sees sound and how does it help her?
In NLP, this is called Synaesthesia and we call people with such ability Synaesthetes. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1R_A4tUMOtI&feature=related.

Hi Friends
Great to know that you are reading my Blog. Had a great time meeting 2 old high school friends whom I have not seen for the past 20 years at Orchard Central. At the same time, coincidentally witnessed an opening of a shop which sells premium chocolate and they have invited a popular Taiwanese Singer called "Tao Zhe" as an ambassador which was located just adjacent to where we were sitting (Coffee Bean). Also bought a box of premium chocolate cookies for my friend's son. My friend was so happy that when he got back home, his 3-year old son called me over my mobile and said 'Uncle Kheng Mong. Thank you!'. Wow! That's really a good value that my friend has passed to his son. Parents are always doing their very best for their children.
When I finally settled down and read my emails, I will always received emails from my current or past trainees sharing with me their challenges. I am happy that they shared which means that they trusted me to help them. There was one of this trainee who was concerned that his mum wants him to be like his mum, but he doesn't want to live life like his mum. As usual, I answered his questions with more questions because he already have the answers. You just need to help him ask the right questions. At the same time, I send him a link to a song sang by Connie Talbot called "You raise me up" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RymC-Uu6qo).
It's difficult to appreciate what our parents do until we become parents ouselves. Many years ago, when my mum was suffering from terminal stage lung cancer (my dad has already passed away), at the same time, we were also involved in a lawsuit over the ownership of the house that I have been staying for years. There was this one day where I sat down beside my sickly mum who was weeping, and I told her to wait for me to graduate from university, so that I could buy a small HDB flat, even it's just a 1-room flat, such that we can stay happily together and be away from all these troubles. That day did not come. She witnessed my convocation but I never got a chance to fulfil my promise as she passed away shortly. I still dreamt that one day, she will come back such that I can fulfil my promise to her knowing that that day will never come.
Ask yourself this question, 'how will you want to treat your parents such that if one day, they are no longer around, you will feel that you have fulfilled your role as their children?'
Now, I am a proud father of a 21-month old girl who is sleeping soundly in her bedroom right now. If my mum were to be around, she would be proud of me too.

It's Monday and it has been a cloudy and rainy week. Having said that nothing is more sunny than what you have in your mind - your positive thoughts.
Watch how empowering beliefs can help a child: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1197420/4273255?v=1197420. This video widens my map on what can my 21-month-old little girl do.

YOU CAN BE ANYTHING THAT YOU WANT (NLP SINGAPORE)
Hi Friends
When we were young, we believed that we can do anything we want ranging from wanting to be a scientist, a doctor, a lawyer, a businessman, etc. But somehow somewhere down the line, most people stopped believing in their dreams. You do have a dream, don’t you? Let me share with you one inspiring movie trailer... called “An Astronaut Farmer” to start your week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=390WaPcxnFI. When I was young, my father who was a fishmonger told us to study hard, get a job and work hard so that we could get high pay. I did…….until one day when I realised that why I do I have to make other people’s dreams come true when I can make mine. That’s when I quitted my job and do what I love to do – to run my own company. To keep yourself motivated in what you are doing now, you will need to know why are you doing what you are doing today? For whom and for what. When you have found the answers, carry these answers with you and these will be one resource to keep you motivated.
